Cadence smiled brightly as the children finished weaving ribbons through the braids that they'd made to her mane and tail. She had to give the people here credit: They'd done their best to help her get dolled up for the celebration.
"Thank you!" she told them brightly. She spread her wings to show off the feathers they'd painted and her shiny, well-brushed coat. Then she lifted her head with playful regality. "I look like a proper princess thanks to you all!"
The children clapped happily and scampered back to their parents who looked relieved to have had a temporary break from the stress of rebuilding and their beloved yet rambunctuous children.
Cadence refolded her wings and turned to see someone looking at her. She felt a bit silly but did her best to show off the kids' hard work. "How do I look?"

Once she had her powers back and gained enough bones, she was going to get that fire resistance from Terra. The potions in her saddlebags helped with the heat but she could easily see it becoming very expensive to come here. Especially if the hot springs were anywhere near as nice as she'd heard.

She'd offered to let her companion ride on her if necessary. Standing at fifteen hands (about five feet) tall at her withers, she made for an excellent mount in a pinch.
