There had been a few tense moments when he thought one of the shadows might lash out and try to grab her. He didn't know why; it was just a feeling he had gotten, which had pushed him to swim harder until they reached the Salt Spire. He was eyeing the shadows even now when they were safe on the other side, clenching his jaw before he turned to look at Sky again.
